Unit2 SectionA(1a-2d)优质课教案
Step1: Warming up
1. Show the teaching aims and Group contest.
设计意图:出示教学目标,让学生明确本节课学习任务及要达到的目标;布置本节课小组之间的比赛任务,激发学生学习积极性和参与意识。
2. Free talk
1. Do you often meet strangers in your daily life?
2. Have you tried making a small conversation with strangers? 引出small talk这一语言项目。
设计意图:与学生谈论日常生活相关的话题,从而自然导入本课的语言点 small talk。
Step2 Study new language 1. Leading in
T: Watch a video about small talk, then answer one question, “Where are they making small talk?”
S: “At the party.”
设计意图:由于课文内容简单扼要,没有情境铺垫,学生难以进入学习语言的状态,因此创设循序渐进的情境非常必要。观看一个small talk 的小视频,能够吸引学生,把学生带到学习新知的情境里去。
2.教学1a
T: Besides “at the party.” Can you tell me other places where people would make small talk? 学生思考后纷纷举手回答列举small talk可能发生的地点。
设计意图:学习small talk 这一语言项目,先要认识明确small talk 所发生的场所。通过观看视频并回答问题,让学生初步感受,然后启发学生思考,进行大脑风暴,说出其他可能发生闲聊的场所和情形,为接下来听力教学做好铺垫,培养学生积极思考,主动学习的能力。
3. Listen and do 1b
T: Look at the pictures. There are four different places. People are making small talk there. Listen and number the pictures in the order you hear them.
设计意图:学生通过思考发言列举,对闲聊可能发生的场合有了一定的了解,为听力1b做好铺垫,听前,教师对所听内容进行听前指导,这样听时学生才会心中有数,有的放矢地去听,并达到一个良好的效果。
4. Speaking practice
Pairwork: Practice the conversation in 1c.
T: From the picture, we can see people are making small talk. But, how do they start their small talk? 呈现3幅1a中的画面,先让学生结对合作,尝试猜测并补全每幅图中的small talk. 然后让学生齐读:“You like action movies, don’t you? ” 告诉学生这样的句子称为tag questions.它经常被人们用来开始闲聊。然后让学生根据图片内容,结对模仿做small talk. 设计意图:在明确闲聊的场所之后,继续借助1b听力图片,引导学生去思考他们怎样开始闲聊的,引导学生通过猜测,补全对话的方式,初步学习感知新的语言项目。让学生试着去猜测他们的谈话内容,能够引起学生的兴趣,用发散思维积极思考。这一过程中,结对和小组合作起到互帮互助,合作探究的作用,学习效果好,参与热情高。
Step 3 Listening practice
(1) Pre-listening
呈现一幅图片,让学生结对尝试自己做small talk. 结果,有的是成功的small talk.有的是不成功的。从而引出“How can we make successful small talk?” 告诉学生,The key is: To have successful small talk, both people need to ask questions. 让学生明确做successful small talk的秘诀是什么。 设计意图:在一系列的新语言项目练习之后,为学生设置一个自主发挥的空间,先把人物图片呈现给学生,让学生运用所学自由发挥,但此时学生并不知晓自己的small talk是否是successful.在学生展示自己的small talk过程中,教师引导学生如何辨认successful small talk,也为接下来的听力教学做好铺垫和准备。
(2)While-listening
1. Listen and do 2a
Teacher: Now let’s listen to three conversations , then try to check whether they are successful or not. 2. Do 2b and listen
Teacher: Because conversation 3 is successful , I think we should learn it more carefully. So, listen to conversation 3 again. Put the sentences and questions below in order.
然后,让学生齐读其中句子:“It always rains on the weekend, doesn’t it? ” 告诉学生,“Weather is a good topic to start the small talk.”
设计意图:在教师的听前指导下,学生明确了判断successful small talk的秘诀,所以听完就会轻松得到答案。而只有conversation 3才是successful small talk,所以教师建议要认真学习conversation3,继续听conversation3,完成2b。 再次听的这一过程,学生对conversation3这一successful small talk进一步加深了了解和认识,也为接下来的自主make successful small talk做好了知识储备。
Step4 Consolidation and extension
T: Now you have known how to make successful small talk. I’ll give you a chance to make your own successful small talk. Here are four pictures and four different places. You can choose any of them, and you can choose any partner to make your own successful small talk. Then, show it to us. 设计意图:为学生创设情境make own successful small talk,是学生所学语言知识的输出和升华,也是学生体验语言知识的一个机会,“课堂即生活”,学生们全部积极主动参与其中,并争
先恐后争取到台前表演展示。
Step5 A dialogue: 2d
1) Watch a video and answer some questions.
1. Are Mike and Peter classmates?
2. When did Mike start in this school?
3. All the teachers are very strict, aren’t they?
4. Who has a younger sister?
2)Role play the conversation in pairs,then show it to us.
设计意图:把以学生为主人公的录像视频的方式呈现2d对话教学引入课堂,创设教学情境,主题鲜明,学生非常感兴趣,从而提高了学生的关注度,激发了学习的热情,从而积极地学习模仿对话并表演展示。
Step6 Summary
1)T: What have you learned in this class? S: We have learned to use tag questions. We have learned to make successful small talk.
2)教师寄语: How to make successful small talk? a. To know about the culture in different countries. b. To discuss “safe” subjects like the weather. c. To smile and keep the conversation light and humorous.
设计意图:在课堂小结这一环节中,发挥学生的主体作用,给学生提示,引导学生积极回顾课堂学习的重点,教师只起到引领,协助,提升的作用。最后,教师寄语既是引领学生感受知识与文化的碰撞,也是本课学习内容的情感和德育教育的体现,对学生起到很好的教育作用。 Step7 评选最佳小组Which group is the best?小组长汇总合计并汇报成绩。
设计意图:根据得到星的数目,评选出一个最佳小组并掌声鼓励,教师给与表扬和肯定,同时教育其他小组学生不要气馁,要再接再厉,争取下次的成功。
