Lesson 12 Let’s Go Shopping!  教学设计
Teaching Aims:
1.master the new words and the useful phrases. 
2.understand the meaning of the text.
Teaching Important and Difficult Points:
Try to read the text as fluently as possible.
Teaching Analysis:
This is the first time for the students to learn about shopping. It must be an interesting topic for them. Therefore, the teacher should warm up the students well at the beginning of the class so that they can master something about this topic.
Step1: Greeting
Good morning, Class! How are you today?
What are your favourite clothes?
What is your favourite colour?
Step2: Lead-in
The song“Who Is Wearing Red?”
S: Do you have any red skirt like Jenny?
T: No, I do not.
S: Do you like red skirt?
T: Yes, I do.
S: Do you want to buy a red skirt?
T: Yes, I do.
S: Ok! Let’s go shopping!
Step3: New words
1. To present the new words of lesson 12 on the screen:
centre, Saturday, will, pair (a pair of gloves, two pair of shoes)
2. Have the students read these new words after the teacher.
3. Let the students read aloud these words by themselves.
Step4: Introduction of this passage
T: Do you know what kind of this passage is?
Ss: Sorry I do not know.
T: This is an e-mail. It is different from the passage we have learned. Let us observe the form of this e-mail. Can anyone tell us?
S:“to”in the e-mail may mean “收件人”in Chinese.
T: Yes! You are a clever boy.
S:“from”may mean “寄件人”in Chinese.
T: Excellent! What about “date”and “subject”?
S: Sorry, I do not know.
T:“date”means “日期”and “subject”is“主题” in Chinese. The last part of the e-mail is the main part.
Step5: Listening
1. Tell the students that they will listen to a passage. Ask them to close their eyes as well as their books. Play the audiotape for the first time. 
2. Play the audiotape a second time. Ask the students to complete Let’s Do It! No.1.
3. Check the answers together. And ask the students to read aloud with the audiotape..
Step6: Read
1. Encourage a student to read the text for us. Then correct his mistakes of the pronunciation.
2. The teacher read the text for their students. And ask them to imitate the pronunciation and the tone of their teacher to read the text by themselves.
3. Divide the class into three groups and play a reading game. For the best one, let the students clap for them. For the others, encourage them to read better next time. 
4. Complete Let’s Do It! No.2.
