LP11. Every day, he goes to work and helps sick people.
(1)go to work 意思是“去上班”，要注意 work 前不加定冠词 the。
(2)sick people 指“病人”，也可用 the sick 代替。
e.g. Doctors look after sick people/ the sick.
LP11. Sometimes he has to work all day and all night, but he still finds time to help me with my studies.
(1)all day and all night意思是“夜以继日，没日没夜”。
e.g. My neighbour is singing all day and all night.
(2)help sb with sth 意思是“帮助某人做某事”。
e.g. Can you help me with the luggage?
y LP12. Mother’s Day is the time for us to say “Thank you” to our mums.
... is the time for sb to do sth意思是“……是某人做某事的时候”。
e.g. Seven o‟clock is the time for me to get up every day.
y LP13. In most countries, people celebrate Mother’s Day on the second Sunday in May every year.
on the second Sunday in May 意思是“五月的第二个星期日”，具体某一天前介词用on，
月份前介词用 in。我们复习一下 in, on, at 与时间的搭配。
in 的用法：一段时间里，将来时表示一段时间后
①月份：in January in December 2020
②年份：in 2014
③一天中的某个部分：in the morning/ afternoon/ evening
④一段时间，表示“多久以后”：in three days in two months
on 的用法：某一天或某一天上下午等
①具体某一天：on Monday on 16 December
②具体某一天的某个时段：on Friday evening of 1 May
③某些节日：on Christmas Day on Thanksgiving Day
但是，如果时间前有 next, this 等限定词，则前面不加任何介词。
at 的用法：某个时刻，某个瞬间
①具体时刻：at 3 o‟clock
②相当于具体时刻的词：at lunchtime at night at midnight
LP14. We can take them to the park or the cinema.
take sb to some place 意思是“带某人去某地”。
e.g. Can you take me to the nearest bus stop?
LP15. If you love your mum, why notplan a special Mother‟s Day for her?
why not 意思是“为何不……”，常用于提出建议，后面接动词原形。
e.g. Why not go to the Science Museum this weekend?
另外，Why not.../ Shall we.../ Let‟s...等都是用来提出建议的方式，因此上面的例句可以改为：
Shall we go to the Science Museum this weekend?
Let‟s go to the Science Museum this weekend.
