11. I love playing on the computer in the study.我喜欢在书房里玩电脑。
love意为“爱，喜爱”。如果表示经常性的、习惯性的喜欢，后面常加动词-ing形式；若表示特定的或具体某一次的喜欢则加动词不定式to do sth.。
如：I love swimming, but I don’t love to swim today.
我喜欢游泳，但今天我不太想游泳。
12. On the left of the yard, there is a kitchen and a dining room.
在院子的左边，有一个厨房和一个餐厅。
left ①名词“左，左边”；②形容词“左边的”。turn left向左转。
如：Some people write with left hand.有些人用左手写字。
on the left of...在……的左边。
如：On the left of the road.在公路的左边。
类似的用法：on the right of…在……的右边；in the center of在……的中央；at the back of…在……后部；in the front of…在……的前部。in the center of...在……中央。
13. Some birds are singing in the tree.一些鸟正在树上唱歌。
in the tree在树上。并非树上固有，是外来的东西在树上；on the tree在树上。表示本来长在树上的叶子或果实。
如：There are some birds in the tree. 树上有一些鸟。
There are many apples on the tree.树上有很多苹果。
14. How many model planes are there ?有几架模型飞机？
本句是how many +可数名词复数+ are there +地点状语？句型。由how many引出的there be句型中的数词提问，回答用there be+数词（+名词+地点状语）。
如：—How many books are there on the desk? 桌上有多少书？
—There are seven books.有七本书。
对不可数名词前的词或短语提问，用how much+不可数名词+is there + 地点状语？
如：—How much milk is there on the table?桌上有多少牛奶？
—There are five bottles of milk on it.有五瓶。
15. I’m writing this letter to tell you about my new home.
我正写信告诉你关于我的新家的情况。
write (a letter) to sb/write sb. a letter.意思是：给某人写信。
如：Do you write to your family every month?
你每个月都给家人写信吗？
