教学步骤:
Step1:Free talk and preparation for writing
1. Show some useful words and phrases on the PPT to help them communicate with their partner
2. Talk with your partner who he or she loves most and talk about what she or he looks like, what his
job is , and why you love him or her.
Step2: Read the passage in Part B
1. Read the passage about Dad in Part B and find out some useful phrases
2. Help students to mark down the special character about Dad and find out some detail information
about Dad
Step3:writing
1.Before writing
向同学们介绍一些描写人的外貌和性格的单词或短语。
1)描述人的外貌:tall, short, medium
height; beautiful, good-looking, pretty,
lovely; short/ long black/blonde
curly/straight hair
2) 描述人的爱好:travel, singing, dancing,
swimming, cooking, fishing, drawing
描述爱好常用的短语:be good at, like
doing sth, love doing sth, be interested in
(doing) sth, enjoy doing sth…
3) 描述人的性格特征:helpful, kind, nice,
clever, smart, patient, strict…
4)描述人的工作:teacher, doctor, cook,
driver, singer, worker, postman,
policeman…
2.While writing
1) Write a passage about a person you love, should contain the following contents: a. who is this
person?
b, what does he or she look like?
c. why do you love him or her?
2) Remind students to pay attention to their handwriting
and check the mistakes students make
Step 4 :Part C
1.Make sentences according to the pictures in part C ,read the sample dialogue
2.Learn the with phrases to describe a particular person
Step 5: More practice
Part A Read the article about Mother’s Day ,thenanswer the questions.
1.When is Mother’s Day?
2.What do people like to do on this day ?
3.What does the author advise people to do on this day ?
4.Check the answers.
Step6:Study skills
Part A and B. Use graphs and charts to change in numbers.
Ask Ss to look at the line graphs and the bar chart carefully,then finish the exercises.
