1、 How are you doing?=How are you? 你好吗？
2 、invite vt.邀请。固定短语:invite sb.to do sth/ invite sb.to to somewhere
例：He invites us to go to his restaurant.＝He invites us to his restaurant.
invite sb. to do sth= ask sb. to do邀请某人做某事
3、 prepare for sth准备某事（准备时间较长思想上的准备）：prepare for the exam
prepare sth for sb.为某人准备…：prepare food for Lily
prepare to do sh准备做…：I prepare to go hiking.
4、go to the movies = go to the cinema 去看电影
5、say thanks to sb.向某人表示感谢 say sorry to sb.向某人道歉
say goodbye to sb.向某人告别 say hello to sb.向某人问好
6、ticket to The Sound of Music 音乐之声的票
to: [表示归属] 属于；…的 规律：“答案钥匙桥和路，出入口的入场券”的所有格用 to
the key to the classroom教室的钥匙 the way to the school 学校的路 the way to success成功之路
the key to the door开门的钥匙 the answer to the question 问题的答案
the solution to the problem问题的答案 two tickets to a football game 足球赛的两张门票
the entrance to the hall 大厅的入口 the exit to the hall 大厅的出口
the bridge to that town 通向那个城镇的桥 the way to the station 去车站的路
另外两种所有格：of 和 ‘s “……的”
of 多指没有生命的事物 ： the name of the school 学校的名字 the color of the bus 汽车的颜色
‘s多指有生命的事物 ： the boy ‘s parents 男孩的父母
Section B
7、seem可用作连系动词，意为“似乎；好像”，其常见用法现归纳如下：
（1）.“主语+ seem +adj”，例如： The woman seems angry. 那个女人看上去生气 。
（2）“主语+ seem +（to be ）+n\adj”，以说明主语的特征或状态。例如：
Tom seems （to be ） a very clever boy. 汤姆看上去是一个非常聪明的男孩。
The man over there seems to be a new teacher. 那边的那个人看上去像一个新老师。
（3）Mr Black seemed to be quite happy. = Mr Black seemed quite happy.布莱克先生好像十分快乐。
8、little adj 小的 如：The little boys like toys very much.
little 几乎没有 如：He has little money.
a little 一些,一点 如：I know a little about Mars. There is a little water in the bottle.
He is a little tired. The dog is a little bigger than the cat.
