An Interesting Job 一份有趣的工作

Joe Brown has a very interesting job. 乔·布朗有一份很有趣的工作。

He is a police artist. 他是一个警察画家。

Some people see crimes and then talk to Joe. 一些人目击了犯罪然后告诉乔。

They tell him what the criminal looks like. 他们告诉他罪犯长得什么样子。

Then Joe draws a picture of the criminal, and the police put it in newspapers and on television to find him. 然后乔画一张罪犯的画像，警察再将它发布到报纸和电视上来找罪犯。

He wants to draw a good picture of each criminal, but this job is sometimes difficult. 他想把每个罪犯画好，但是这份工作有时候很难。

Many people don't always see things the same way so they may describe the same person differently. 许多人看东西的方式不尽相同，所以对于同一个人，他们的描述也不一样。

Also, they don't always remember things well. 而且，他们不总是清楚地记事。

"The criminal is of medium build and young. He has long straight black hair and big eyes," says one woman. “罪犯是中等身材，很年轻。他留着长直发，大眼睛，”一位女士说。

Another woman says, "He's tall and thin, and he has curly blond hair. He's about thirty years old." 另一位女士说，“他又高又瘦，他有着金色的卷发。他大概有三十岁。”

In the end, the real criminal is a short and heavy old man, and he has short black hair! 最后，真正的罪犯是一个又矮又胖的老人，他有着黑色的短发。
